Local document processing

PHIPass processes documents on the user's computer. Document content, filenames, extracted text, and PHI are not sent to the PHIPass licensing service.

Information used for licensing

To issue and protect licenses, PHIPass may process the purchaser's email address, payment and subscription metadata supplied by Stripe, activated device identifiers, and session activity such as last-seen timestamps. Verification codes and license delivery messages are sent to the purchaser's email address.

Security and retention

Licensing requests use encrypted transport. The desktop app stores its license material in protected operating-system storage. We retain only the account, license, device, and billing information needed to operate, secure, and support the service.
